Patricia O'Dell Case

http://www.educationalfreedom.com/pages/cases/patricia_odell/

Some homeschoolers in Vermont have had to fight for their constitutional rights. This is one of several cases. When advocating I've found the more difficult cases have been the result of abuse of power by those in authority, not the act of homeschooling itself. In this case the mother was tormented by a woman who worked in child services and had a personal vendetta against the homeschooling mom since childhood. This person used the full power of the state's bureaucracy to squash this homeschooling family and never had any qualms about doing so. The more the homeschool mom made the state look bad the more the state trumped up accusations and charges against her. The state of Vermont destroyed this family.
