"In a post from January of last year, Munroe talks about some of the comments she would like to write about her students on their report cards in place of what she calls the “canned comments” which are provided by the school district. The comments include “lazy,” “sneaky” and “rude.”
I'm leaning in favor of the teacher this time. Something isn't right about this story. Sounds like her students are upset for being outed and the parents need to develop a thicker skin. Read the article then watch the video. This isn't adding up for some reason. Was she specifically targeting students or musing about what it would be like to be allowed to teach unrestrained from political correctness and administrative tyranny? She sounds like a frank and honest English teacher to me. I, for one, would love to read her blog.
Hmmm. Let's see. High school English. I can only imagine her frustration at trying to teach high school English in a state where the average reading score for 11th graders is 67% and teenagers are better at writing a text message than a coherent essay. Geeeeeeeeeesh!
