This was one of the better articles written about Karen Maple's plight. This article in two parts is written by Linda A. Prussen-Razzano and posted September 27 and October 4, 1999. I remember Linda contacting me and asking to interview Karen. It was a relief to Karen to share her story with someone who expressed some much appreciated kindness in a world gone mad. Sure, some thought Karen a little rough around the edges, but she was bright, funny, loving and fiercely protective of her children, as any mom would be. I admired Karen very much, and still do, for plowing the way for other homeschooling moms.
